There's been rumblings that both San Diego State and BYU have contacted the Mountain West about the possibility of returning to that conference. If this should happen it could very well put a damper on our chances of getting in?

There is no serious discussion of those two returning to the MWC in football. The discussions, such as they are, are centered on a return of their Oly sports. BYU, for now, likes being independent and retaining its lucrative exclusive TV deal and circulating around the country to spread its theological message. SDSU is so flattered to be in any BCS conference that it is head over heels committed to the Big East in football.

I clearly wrote that there were rumblings, that's very different from a serious discussion. But it's true that they did contact the MWC. Some good news came out of San Diego today, I heard this on San Diego sports radio this morning: And now the SDSU AD say's, its full steam ahead to the Big East.
I wish the MWC would hurry up with their decision on expansion (SJSU, Utah State, etc.).
. Here's my picks for a 12 teams (for football) MWC:
West Division
SJSU
Fresno State
Nevada
Hawaii
UNLV
Utah State
Mountain Division
New Mexico
Colorado State
Air Force
Wyoming
UTEP
UTSA or Texas State, or maybe even Tulsa
*MWC officials have visited both UTEP, UTSA and Texas State and I'm guessing that LA Tech will go to C-USA. Leaving NMSU to the Sun Belt and Idaho for either the Sun Belt or back down to (FCS) in the Big Sky?
